Community Website Drupal Theme-ing

Date:
February 2009
Client:
The Big Idea Trust
As Drupal experts, we won the theme-ing aspect of the re-design of The Big Idea website project for The Big Idea Trust.

The project allowed our design expert Ben McNicoll to put to use industry standards in social networking and magazine style website design – bringing TBI to the global fore-front in the display of vast amounts of compelling (and contributed) content.

Few sites in New Zealand can compete with this new and improved community orientated site.

Website Re-design

Date:
April 2008
Client:
Association of New Zealand Advertisers

The Association of New Zealand Advertisers (ANZA) needed to review it’s website content and the flexibility of the layout. A redesign was commissioned and Citizen-click developed a site using the Drupal Open Source Framework.

The new site still offers a content management system for easy updates, as well as member’s only content, but also offers greater flexibility and an all-new look.

Now that the site no longer uses frames it is more search engine friendly and handles the many document downloads in a user-friendly manner.

ANZA have been pleased with the smooth delivery of their new site.

Special thanks to Nick Jones & Associates for the wonderful introduction to ANZA.

Bank of New Zealand office recycling roll-out

Date:
March 2008
Client:
Bank of New Zealand (BNZ)

The Bank of New Zealand is committed to corporate social responsibility. As part of their sustainability programme, the BNZ initiated office recycling in all of their corporate offices. Kate was contracted to project manage the roll-out which included mixed recycling, food scraps, paper, and normal landfill waste.

As well as managing the sourcing of waste receptacles and supplier engagement, she was responsible for all communications and training associated with the project. The successful launch encompassed four venues, affecting 1,000 employees and led the way for a similar programme in Wellington.

Bank of New Zealand MyTravel launch

Date:
December 2007
Client:
Bank of New Zealand (BNZ)

The Auckland Regional Transport Authority (ARTA) runs a programme called TravelWise, which encourages Aucklanders to reduce single occupancy car trips. As part of BNZ’s wider sustainability focus, the Bank undertook the challenge to pilot the scheme with a group of 600 staff relocating to a new building.

Kate was engaged to launch the pilot, known as MyTravel, working within the parameters of the ARTA project management approach. Surveying of staff’s current transport methods and communications regarding alternatives were key elements to the campaign. A draft car-pool plan was drawn up and a committee engaged to take on the suggestions and challenges posed by the wider group.

The team got behind Go By Bike day and continue to pursue initiatives that support more sustainable transport methods.

Community Website

Date:
October 2007
Client:
New Zealand Glass Bead Association

This site is a collaboration between Isla Osborne, graphic designer and bead maker, and Citizen-click. Once again, Drupal Open Source has been put to use at its best: supporting a site that needs to present regular news and events, as well as manage a membership and newsletter mailing list.

The site has quickly become a busy hub for the glass bead artists community. From the beginning the technology has met the group’s needs and the clean display of the site showcases Isla’s flair for presentation.

Community Website Creation and Support

Date:
April 2007
Client:
The Onehunga Enhancement Society

As the Onehunga community in Auckland was first coming together to state their case against senseless motorway developments and for a reconnection of the community to the foreshore, Jim Jackson was already talking about a website.

Jim became president of The Onehunga Enhancement Society, and to support the very full agenda and calendar of the organisation, Citizen-click partnered with Egressive in Christchurch to develop www.toesociety.org.nz, using the Drupal Open Source Framework.

This was Citizen-click’s first website and through the strength of Drupal and how well suited it is for community sites, the Onehunga site was an award finalist in the 2007 NZ Open Source Awards.

Kate continues to support the community with newsletter and content updates, and all on a shoe-string budget!
